Introducing the Toyota Sport Crossover Concept

Presented for the first time in Europe, this is the Toyota Sport Crossover Concept, which offers a tantalising preview of a sleek new production vehicle destined for introduction in Europe in 2025. It represents the second model in a recently announced line-up of six dedicated battery electric vehicles that Toyota will introduce by 2026.

Sport Crossover Concept: sleek SUV alternative

The new concept displays a sharp aero silhouette and distinctive fastback lines that will make it a style hero within Toyota’s new BEV line-up. We anticipate that the production car will provide an attractive proposition for first-time electric car customers and be a captivating alternative to an SUV, offering maximum comfort combined with five-door practicality, a large boot and generous rear legroom.

First unveiled at Auto Shanghai in April, the concept has been developed for both the Chinese and European markets by BYD Toyota EV Technology Co Ltd – a joint venture established by Toyota and BYD.

The future according to Toyota

Toyota envisions a future in which carbon neutrality is achieved through a portfolio of products with alternative fuel and zero-emissions powertrain technologies. This multipath strategy will help propel Toyota Motor Europe toward its goal of exclusively offering ZEVs by 2035 and reaching complete carbon neutrality by 2040.
