The New Ferrari Prototype Race Car Hits the Track

March marks the return of a factory Ferrari competing in world endurance racing. Recently, the all-new Ferrari 499P took to the bumpy turns of the Sebring International Raceway to compete in an endurance test in preparation for the season-open 1,000-kilometer race at the track later in the month. The test performed was to iron out any kinks to ensure the Ferrari 49P9 can stand up to the stress of the race and continue preparations for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the summer.

The Ferrari 499P driver lineup includes former F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi and long-time GT racing drivers James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi. The Ferrari 499P is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 mounted with a 200-kilowatt electric motor, delivering a total output of 671 horsepower, powered through a seven-speed sequential manual transmission. Our team at Boardwalk Ferrari looks forward to seeing the new Ferrari 499P.
