The BMW 530i is part of the 5 series sedan lineup for 2023. Its suave styling, powerful engineering, and dignified luxury make this sedan the very epitome of class on wheels. Let’s find out some more.

An Overview

This midsized sedan is a five-seater automatic that arrived on the market toward the end of 2022 after a comprehensive upscale that improved its sleek design in a refined manner, without feeling at all garish.

What’s New?

2023 brings the exciting introduction of the “Executive” package, which includes a Harman/Kardon stereo, heated front seats, a power-operated trunk lid, and a head-up display. In addition, the car now comes in three new colors: Skyscraper Grey, Aventurin, and possibly the most striking, Arctic Race Blue. The only other change of note is the welcome return of wireless phone charging.

Engines and Performance

The 530i is fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission that uses its generated power economically and efficiently. Its engine produces 248 horsepower and 257 lb-feet of torque, thus providing the buyer with a smooth and confident drive. Its steering is light yet maintains a firm grip and effortless control, especially when taking corners.

Cabin, Comfort, and Cargo

The 2023 cabin is both sophisticated and spacious, with ample leg and headroom at both the front and rear. Its optional adjustable 20-way multi-contour front seats provide hours of comfort, even on the longest of journeys, while conveniently, the rear seats are collapsible for added storage space.

The sizeable trunk is bigger than those of its rival counterparts, and several handy storage cubbies are dotted throughout the cabin. Pockets can be found on every door to store water bottles, plus there’s a large glove box for important paperwork, etc.

Safety and Driver Assist

Pedestrian detection and emergency braking come as standard, as do blind spot monitoring and a rear cross-traffic alert. Other available features include adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and a navigation-based semi-autonomous driving mode that uses GPS data to make safe suggestions about driving routes and even lane changes.

The 530i has a 12.3-inch high-definition central display that is activated by touchscreen or via voice commands. The car also benefits from a user-friendly navigation system plus Bluetooth, a SiriusXM satellite radio, a USB port, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Now that you know everything you need to about the 530i, it’s time for you to go and see one in person.
