1967 Chevy Chevelle With Supercharged Viper V10 Is One Wild Restomod


Mixing marquees when creating restomods is a bit of a faux pas but we can’t help but love this one. It takes a classic 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle and blends it with modern components that include a V10 from a Dodge Viper. And for good measure, there’s a supercharger strapped to it too.

Despite a downturn in the used-car market, classic cars and restomods are still very desirable. This particular classic is sitting atop a Schwartz Performance chassis with Ridetech air suspension components. That provides a much more modern ride quality than it could have with its original bones.

Of course, adding modern touches like Wilwood disc brakes, Forgeline wheels, power windows, VintageAir climate control, and Dakota Digital gauges make the ride more enjoyable as well.

Interestingly, this thing has mismatched tires on it. The front tires are from Ohtsu and are 285 section width while the rears are from Michelin and sport a 345 section width. From the driver’s seat, it almost looks original. What’s under the hood and in the central transmission tunnel matter even more though.

There, you’ll find the 8.3-liter V10 from a Dodge Viper along with a Paxton NOVI 2000 supercharger mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission. However, the auction listing doesn’t mention how much power this engine makes.

A little online research will show you that this supercharger kit on an 8.3-liter V10 Viper engine is advertised to make 700 hp and 633 lb-ft of torque on seven or eight pounds of boost. If those numbers are accurate we can only imagine how much fun this Chevelle must be to drive as all of that power goes straight to the rear wheels.

Outwardly, the car features a number of custom touches including flush-fitting door handles from an Oldsmobile Intrigue, LED headlights, side-exit exhausts, and shaved badges. It was acquired in November of 2022 and someone has put at least 3,000 miles on it since it was finished. We can’t wait to see how much somebody spends on it.
