5 Tips to Keep Your AC in Perfect condition During the Summer Season in Dubai

Summer heat becomes unbearable without a good air conditioning system for your car. The older the vehicle, the tougher it is for the air conditioner to give optimum performance and may lead to an AC system breakdown. You may avail of car repair service in Dubai or car AC maintenance centres when the air conditioner develops problems.

However, here are 5 tips to keep your AC in perfect working condition.

Park in a Shade

If you get an opportunity to park in the shade away from direct sunlight, it reduces the workload of the AC and hence gives better cooling inside when you start on your journey. When the vehicle is exposed to sun, the windows have to be opened for a while before you start the engine and begin your journey.  Allow the hot air inside to escape and then switch on the AC.

Regular Servicing

Regular servicing will help check the refrigerant level and leaks which can reduce the cooling capacity of the AC. Ideally, the inspection and servicing of AC should be done in the spring season. Having a maintenance schedule helps in optimising the performance of the car A/C.Ensure that your car has got enough AC Gas in the system. The needed amount of AC gas at the ideal pressure will help the AC system to work well during the summer. AC Cabin filters to be checked or cleaned regularly.   The AC filter helps to clear the impurities from the air that is sucked inside so that passengers get fresh air inside the car. If the air inside is stagnant, it is time to replace the air filter.  A clogged AC filter will reduce  the amount of cool air that is fed out of the vents. This will eventually lead to putting extra pressure on the AC system.

All the AC fan blowers should be working just fine to give the optimal air flow into the system. A faulty blower motor may lead to malfunctioning of the AC system.

Find an AC car repair facility nearby to keep the AC in good condition.

Check for unusual sounds while the AC is working as it may indicate possible trouble in the compressor. Carcility, the leading car repair service in Dubai has three AC summer packages this year-

Tinted Windows

Use of tinted windows reduces the intake of heat inside the car and reduces the workload of the air conditioner. The rear and side windows can be tinted upto the legally permissible limit.

Use of Recirculation Mode

The A/c has an electric fan which sucks in air from outside and reaches the evaporator. A high pressure liquid coolant is pushed into the evaporator which turns into gas and absorbs the heat. The electric fan then blows the air through the A/C vent towards the interior of the car. Once sufficient air has been sucked in, it is better to turn the a/c to recirculation mode. This will shut the absorption of air from outside. The recirculation air is already cool and this puts less burden on the A/c and improves its performance.

Regular Use

Regular use of air conditioner ensures that air vents and moving parts in an A/c perform well. Even if the car is not used regularly, it should be taken out once a week with A/c on for at least 15 minutes.
