Toyota of Scranton has always been dedicated to our local programs and organizations, and this year is a proud supporter of the Individual Abilities in Motion (IAM) Annual Holiday Raffle. This year, the 12 Days of Holiday Cheer 2021 is designed to model the 12 days of Christmas, with twelve outstanding raffle prizes with all proceeds going towards supporting the IAM foundation. Our dealership has an outstanding relationship with Individual Abilities in Motion, and looks forward to many more years of supporting this wonderful organization.

Individual Abililties in Motion is the top organization in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region relating to providing support to people with mobility impairments. IAM provides a range of services to its members, including mentoring, peer programs, events, and so much more with the end goal of creating an inclusive community. The organization itself is a great resource for its members to help each other overcome obstacles and aim for overall life enrichment and developing abilities. IAM hosts a range of events for all of its members and their families, including sports events such as adaptive cycling, baseball games, and also more relaxing venture such as poker nights, friends and family picnics, paint nights, and so much more.

In addition to Toyota of Scranton’s resounding support of the IAM organization, Toyota USA has an entire branch dedicated to mobility support to help provide vehicle access to everyone. Toyota USA partners with several equipment specialists to help provide the necessary outfitting of their vehicles to be more inclusive to physically impaired drivers. These include steering wheel hand controls, wheelchair and scooter lifts, lift-up seats, ramps, steering-assist devices, left-foot accelerators and more. With the partnership of companies such as Braunability and VMI, Toyota has been able to completely outfit the popular minivan the Toyota Sienna with fold out or in-floor wheelchair ramps, as well as the Evo swivel seat, which is the #1 selling vehicle transfer seat. Toyota has been able to outfit many of its other popular vehicles to be more inclusive including the RAV4, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Camry, and many more.
