The Strive Racing pairing of Keagan and Aiden Beaumont will make their national Mini ROK debut on March 18-19 as the MSA-sanctioned ROK Cup rolls into Cape Town for the championships’ opening round.

Originally from Gauteng, the Beaumont family have made Cape Town their home and have competed in several regional and club races since then. The brothers Beaumont have been racing for several years already and will be keen on a solid first outing in the Vortex-powered Mini ROK class for ages eight through thirteen. Last week was the first time that either driver competed in the Mini ROK class; as Steve Beaumont explains, “We know very little about the ROK series having raced in Rotax for the past 2 years. We decided to use last weekend’s regional as a setup day but running four karts proved to be tricky and despite some decent pace last weekend from both my boys, we could not put in the time to get the karts set up perfectly, especially Aiden’s. We understand we are up against it this weekend but are looking forward to having some fun – which is what it is all about at the end of the day.”

Official practice will commence on Friday morning with qualifying and three race heats to follow on Saturday. Unfortunately, there will be no live stream available this weekend, but you can track Keagan and Aiden’s progress on the Strive Racing Facebook page.
