2022 Chevy Equinox is a better value than 2021Lastly, there’s the range-topping 2022 Chevy Equinox Premier, which is priced from $32,195 with front-wheel drive and $33,795 with all-wheel drive. This is $500 less than the 2021 Chevy Equinox Premier. 2022 Chevy Equinox is a better value than 2021There is no specific reason for the price deductions applied to the 2022 Chevy Equinox. But, 2022 Chevy Equinox is now a better value than 2021.  We imagine the lower starting price tags will be welcome news for Chevy customers, though, as the automotive industry has seen a sharp rise in average transaction prices over the past year due to low inventory levels and high demand. The 2022 Chevy Equinox also represents the first model year of the second-generation Equinox’s mid-cycle enhancement (MCE) and incorporates revised exterior styling and a mildly overhauled cabin, among other changes. Power in the 2022 Equinox comes from a turbocharged 1.5L I4 LYX gasoline engine rated at 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque.

Looking ahead, the Chevy Equinox will be joined by the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV – a new battery-electric compact crossover that utilizes GM’s Ultium platform and Ultium Drive electric motors. The Equinox EV will enter production in the spring of 2023.
