The range-topping 2022 Chevy Equinox Premier also represents the first model year of the second-generation Equinox’s mid-cycle enhancement and incorporates revised exterior styling and a reworked cabin. The 2022 Equinox uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter I-4 LYX gasoline engine rated at 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. Soon, the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will join as a new battery-electric compact crossover that utilizes both the Ultium platform and Ultium drive electric motors, entering production in the spring of 2023.
Outside of the 2022 model, there are more additions coming to the Equinox line, including four new exterior colors, LED Daytime Running Lamps, and LED headlamps now coming as standard.
