The popular middle-order batsman from the Indian Cricket Team, Suryakumar Yadav, recently surprised his fans and auto-enthusiasts with his new purchase, a heavily-customized Nissan 1 Ton. Now, a vlog has surfaced on YouTube, which has described the complete details of the vehicle and the name of the customizer.
The said video has been uploaded by “Dayakaranvlogs” on YouTube and is a walk-around of the customized Nissan 1 Ton belonging to Suryakumar Yadav. The vehicle has been restored by a Haryana-based customizer named “Jeep Doctors”. The entire customization process costs Rs 12 lakh and took three months to complete.
The walk-around of the Nissan 1 Ton starts with the front profile, where the presenter shows the 12,000 lbs winch mounted on the front cross-section of the vehicle. The 1 Ton here also has a heavy-duty front bumper with a 2K polyurethane coating with a protective barrier, which is also commonly known as “raptor coating”.
There are rounded LED headlamps and auxiliary LED lights mounted on the front edges of the front fenders, which are also surrounded by metallic rounded cross members. The right front fender also has an external air cleaner mounted on it. The side edges of the front fenders also come fitted with amber turn indicators.
Gets massive tyres
The customized Nissan 1 Ton has an authoritative stance to it, thanks to the massive 35-inch Rocktrak tubeless off-road spec tyres. The steel wheels mimic the neon green theme of the vehicle around their circumference and on the hub caps. The A-pillars of the vehicle come mounted with annually adjustable rearview mirrors, which come integrated with side cameras that support the 360-degree parking function of the vehicle.
The vertically-laid split windscreen and front quarter-glasses on the A-pillars are new, while the roof of the vehicle gets horizontally laid auxiliary amber lights and a heavy-duty carrier. The vehicle also comes with automatically-retractable side footsteps. The door panels of the vehicle come with blacked-out door handles and side mouldings.
Towards the rear, this Nissan 1 Ton gets rectangular LED tail lamps with exhaust pipes below them and a hook between them. The boot lid comes with a huge Nissan logo stickered on its back, while above it, there is a big carrier for the spare wheel and a reverse light mounted on the top of the boot lid. The left rear fender also has a blacked-out jerry can mount on it.
Mahindra Thar dashboard
On the inside, the dashboard layout of the Nissan 1 Ton has been taken off from the previous-generation Mahindra Thar. Other parts carried forward from the Thar are the three-pod analogue instrument console with chrome surrounds, two-spoke steering wheel and rounded AC vents. The centre console comes with a portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system. Other features and highlights of this 1 Ton are cushioned floor mats and roof lining, part-leather upholstery, powered driver’s seat and an electric sunroof.
Popularly known as Nissan Jonga by enthusiasts, the Nissan 1 Ton was used as a commissioned vehicle by the armed forces of India between 1969 to 1999. It comes with a 4.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 110 bhp of power and 264 Nm of torque, and comes with a 3-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel-drive as standard.
